Biography & Introduce
Ty Hampton is a probate attorney at Carpenter & Associates. He is a proud graduate of Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in December 2021. Before law school, Ty received a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Studies and a Minor in German from Texas Tech University in 2016.
During his time in Law School, Ty worked directly under the Honorable Judge Morris Overstreet as a legal assistant handling primarily criminal defense for three years. In addition, he spent over a year working for Attorney Nekketta Archie, primarily in probate and estate planning. Ty’s passion for probate stems from his family’s work in the law as well as their work in the funeral business. Ty has seen firsthand the comfort a qualified probate attorney can bring to a grieving family. A probate attorney who works with compassion and efficiency can allow a family to have closure and move on together. On the other hand, a probate attorney who fails to do this can unintentionally cause further division and strife to grieving families. That is why Ty makes cultivating harmony between the family key to how he approaches his work and serves his clients.
Ty Hampton is also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., whose motto is “Culture For Service and Service for Humanity.” To live out that motto, Ty is active in his church, serving as the sound man. He also participates in community service events put on by the church. In addition, he has served as the guest speaker at estate planning seminars put on by his family funeral business in Amarillo, Texas.
